  • 10 each - ACES Int'l Approved Tool Kits (or equivalent)

  • 10 each - Classroom Supplies

        30 - RJ-45 Connectors

        200ft - 4pr UTP CAT5e Solid Core Cable

        100ft - 4pr UTP CAT5e Stranded Core Cable

        10 - RJ-45 Keystones (modular inserts)

        10 - 4pr 'C' Clip Interconnect Blocks

 

  • Classroom Equipment

        5 each - Training Board with the following 

        connection points (1 per each 2 students 

        minimum):

        12 Port 110 Patch Panel (CAT5e rated)

        Single Bang Electrical Box (w/4 Port 

        Multipurpose Cover Plate)

        '66' Style 25 Pair Block

        '110' Style Interconnect Panel

        1 - Wire Mapper (high end) at least 1 per Classroom

  • Correctly Identify RG-X Cable

  • Correctly Identify 4 Conductor Phone Cable

  • Correctly Identify Data UTP Cable

  • Correctly Identify STP Cable

  • Correctly Identify ScTP Cable

  • Correctly Identify CAT5 Networks

  • Correctly Identify CAT5e Networks

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA '110' Patch Panel 

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA '110' Keystone

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA RJ-45 Patch Cord

  • Identify Distance Allowed for the Link

  • Identify Distance Allowed for the Channel

  • Identify Minimum Bend Radius

  • Identify Maximum Pulling Tension

  • Test DATA for Connectivity and Faults

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a Phone Wiring to '66' Block

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a COAX 'F' Connector

  • Perform to Current Industry Standards a DATA '110' Keystone

ACES Int'l has established these "hands on" minimum requirements to ensure an individual trained by an ACES Int'l Member Training Institution has the sufficient knowledge and skills necessary to enter the workforce as a Certified Data Cabling Installer or Certified Professional Data Cabling Installer™.  These Professional Level™ STANDARDS reflect ACES Int'l and industry assessments of the minimum required abilities and skills necessary to successfully compete for (and acquire) employment in the profession.
