ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program

ACES Int'l offers an entry-level Professional Certification Program for ALL "hands on" training schools, Utility Industry employers, "in-house" training divisions, colleges, tech centers and all institutions of higher learning.  The ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Certification is designed for individuals with no prior experience as a Utility Locator and/or for those already working in the profession with up to 240 hours of documented training and experience.  The ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program is an Entry-Level or "Level 1" Certification Program.  Certification Testing is only available to individuals that complete at least a 40 hour structured training course which covers the identified minimum training requirements of the Common Ground Alliance (CGA) Best Practices-Section 4-5.  "Level 1" Certification holders are able to perform locating responsibilities as long as their work is observed and monitored for accuracy by a qualified supervisor.   ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technicians™ are required to receive BOTH theory and "Hands On" training and testing to ensure their competence in the field. 

Certified Utility Locator Technicians locate and mark underground utilities ("facilities") for telephone and internet providers, cabling system providers, electric services providers, natural gas providers, liquid pipeline providers, water and sanitary sewage providers, excavators, contractors and subcontractors.  Before any excavation or digging can take place... underground facilities must be located and marked... it's not only the law... it's vital to protecting our nation's critical infrastructures.  The ACES Int'l Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program recognizes all training materials which cover the techniques for locating and marking ALL types of facilities/utilities to current Industry Standards.
