Founded in 2001, the Association of Communications & Electronics Schools International (ACES Int'l) is a non-profit trade association providing very affordable Industry-recognized  Certification Programs and support for Educational Institutions.  Since 2001, with the help and support of our Member Training Institutions, ACES Int'l has provided thousands of individuals with certification credentials in the high tech fields of Fiber Optics, Data Cabling, Utility Location and Safe Excavation.  Even before our founding, members of ACES Int'l helped to create and develop Certification Programs for other Associations (now our competitors) which have blossomed into the largest and most well known programs in the Industry.  ACES Int'l would like to offer you this same opportunity... to come grow with us!

New for 2008 is the Online Fiber Optics Training Program hosted by former NASA astronaut and current Professor of Physics, Dr. Sally Ride ("first American woman in space").  This program offers business partners a tremendous resource.  A self-contained 40 hour course that requires no online tutor, there has never been an easier way to offer the highest quality Online Fiber Optics Training to your clients.  This course may be offered as a "Stand Alone" Fiber Optics Theory Course or may be combined with a "Hands On" Lab to earn Industry Certification.

Begun in 2007, The ACES Int'l/Utility Training Academy Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program represents a partnership between real world Industry Certification Program providers, "Hands On" training schools, employers, colleges, tech centers and all institutions of higher learning.  This 40 hour course provides enrollees with current Industry Standards and Best Practices Guidelines along with all required "Hands On" training to enter into a high paying and very rewarding career in Underground Utility Location.  A "Train the Trainer" Program is available along with a complete "turn key" franchise opportunity or a complete "in-house" training program for the Utility Industry.  All course books, tools & equipment, even immediate placement opportunities for graduates of this Program are provided.

The ACES Int'l Certified Damage Prevention Specialist™ Program, (begun in 2007), is one of the most popular Certification Programs ever created and is designed for the Utility Industry's underground Line Utility Locators.  What makes this Industry Certification Program so popular is that it is completely transferable to all Utility Industry in-house training programs and fits in perfectly with annual Industry-required training and testing.  The Certified Damage Prevention Specialist™ Program is extremely affordable and is the 'follow on' Certification Program for the Certified Utility Locator Technician™ Program.  Only those currently employed by the Utility Industry as professional underground Line Utility Locators (enrollees must have at least 240 hours of current employment as a Locator) are eligible for Certification.

The newest Certification Program under development by ACES Int'l, (and due to be released in the summer of 2008), is the Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program.  Designed as a partner-program to the OSHA/Excavation Industry's 'Competent Person' Certification Program, the Certified Safe Excavation Practitioner™ Program (Dig Safe Program) provides safe excavation training, Industry Standards and Best Practices Guidelines training to 'front line' Excavation Industry workers and the general population (home owners and businesses that do occasional excavation work).  This program is to be released as a 'bi-lingual' (English, French and Spanish versions) training and Certification Program which will be available Online or as an onsite classroom course.  Easy to offer and completely transferable, this program will be made available to all 50 States in the United States and all Canadian Provinces as an alternative to civil, State or Federal penalties for 'Utility Line hits'.  Revenue sharing opportunities for localities, States and Provinces are available to strengthen "Dig Safe' Programs in all 50 States and Canada.                                

ACES Int'l has signed an agreement with DANTES which allows all US Military (active duty, reserve, retired and veterans) to sit for ACES Int'l Certification examinations in US Military Testing Centers throughout the world.  In fact, members of ACES Int'l shared in the first Pilot Program funding for Fiber Optics Certifications designed for the US Military.  It is now easy for US Military Training Commands to offer ACES Int'l Certifications along with their training as an alternative to other Fiber Optics, Data Cabling or specialized Certification Programs.  Full VA (Veterans Administration) Certification cost reimbursements are available for all qualified US Military personnel for ACES Int'l Certifications.  Civilians have always had choices when choosing Certification Programs to go along with their training... now all US Military personnel have those same choices... we ask that US Military Training Commands consider offering ACES Int'l Certification Programs to cap off required training programs.
